Raju is a young man who dreams big and wants to venture into business contrary to his father’s wishes of him going for higher studies and therby a great paying job. His father sends him to pay for his IAS exams fees and while on that he meets the spunky and beautiful Gita and falls in love with her. He confides his feelings to his friend, philosopher and guide Sanjay. Sanjay and he had been best of friends since childhood. Accidental meet ups in the movie theatre, cyber café’s later the duo becomes friends. Sanjay gets selected through an interview and leaves for America with a job. In the airport however Sanjay tells Raju that Gita is his girlfriend and they have been courting for quiet a while. Barring Gita’s mother’s wishes who want to see her daughter married to a rich man and not someone from a humble background like Sanjay’s. Raju is shattered, clearly torn between his feelings for Gita and his responsibility towards his best friend. In the meanwhile Gita’s mother forcefully tries to get her married to another man named Vikram. However Raju flees with the bride at her request with the aim to uniting her with Sanjay. Gita’s police mother gets Raju’s parents arrested leaving him in despair. One thing leads to another and a banished from Raju and Gita is forced to depend on one another and stay together at a rented place. Sanjay returns but disagrees to marry Gita and jeopardize his family’s well being and his future. Gita gets a job and just while leaving the city she realizes Raju’s love for her and the fact that the girl he had always loved and had mentioned before too was none other than she herself. They finally unite.
